Dance of Love : Gosford Castle ~ Ballet Bridal Inspiration

What are your plans for the weekend? I have a few weddings to get prepared for so we're taking it easy and getting organised for those. I can't wait to share all of the beautiful weddings and shoots I've had the pleasure of working on this year, so many wonderful couples and great destinations in Ireland! I will be sharing all of these on my site in the next few months once wedding season quiets down a bit, so please stay tuned! :)

I'm pulling one of my favorites out of the archives today. I've been meaning to share this for a long time, but unfortunately it's gotten placed on the back burner. I love this shoot for the light, movement, drama and interiors. You may have seen it featured in my portfolio already or elsewhere online, but it's too beautiful for me not to blog and share a bit about the day.

Early last year a small group of us traveled to Gosford Castle in County Armagh (fun fact: a Game of Thrones filming location) for this ballet inspired bridal editorial. Sometimes the smaller shoots are the most special as you have time to experiment and try new things - in this case, the light and movement. Paula, of course, did such an incredible job capturing the drama and details! Our model, Hannah, is a real life ballerina too. I have such a respect for ballet dancers - their strength, passion and the incredibly beautiful way they move is just exquisite. The gorgeous textured gowns were sourced from Spain and Copenhagen, all hand-sewn. Please take a minute to watch the hauntingly beautiful film at the end by Story of Eve, it's so worth it!
