Moira & Norman | Christ Church Cathedral Wedding

Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin is one of my favourite churches in all of Ireland. The architecture, the history and the stone walled Crypt below already add to the drama of the church - but then throw in a gorgeous winter wedding and it's just incredibly beautiful!

Moira and Norman met ten years ago to the day of their wedding and wanted it to feel like a modern intimate dinner party and huge celebration with all of their guests from around the world, followed by an after party at the Vintage Cocktail Club. With one month to pull the design elements for this wedding together, I'll admit it was tough, but I'm happy with how it all turned out. The candle display at the altar was my favourite! After the ceremony, the guests walked down the candle lit stone stairway in to the 12th century crypt where they were greeted with margaritas and moscow mules and hundreds of candles in every crevice and archway. For the dinner reception in the crypt below we had two long tables in the archways seated with seventy ghost chairs at each. The tables were beautifully decorated with greenery garland dotted with white flowers, glass candelabras, and loads of candles everywhere creating a really magical environment.
