Botany of Love | Muckross House, Killarney, Ireland

Happy Friday! I hope you have something lovely planned for the weekend! Conor and I are headed to Dingle for a few days, we've never been before so we booked it on a whim. We found a charming Airbnb on the coast of the Dingle Penisula and we've decided to bring our dog this time (the in-laws are tired of dog sitting! however, I can't blame them as he does dig quite a few unwanted holes in their garden) - our plan is to mainly relax, but we hope to also swim in the sea, do a bit of hiking in Killarney National Park, eat some seafood and take in the beautiful scenery that the west coast of Ireland is known for. So I thought it fitting that I share this styled shoot that took place in Killarney National Park last year. When you have Brosnan Photographic behind the lens, a beautiful backdrop and a talented bunch of Irish creatives you end up with something very special...

'Like vines we grow together' was our inspiration behind this spring influenced shoot. Lush, green, ethereal, delicate. We chose Muckross House and Gardens for it's setting and extensive grounds nestled right in the heart of the Killarney National Park. The palette of stone greys, mossy greens with pops of crimson and accents of wood added to the natural elements of the forest setting and the verdant floral designs by Ann Marie O'Leary enhanced the beauty of this shoot and really brought it to life.  Cloudberry Bakery created an impressive 3 tier cake finished in a pale stone colour with hand-made flowers and foliage; meandering ivy, fragile, frayed edged parrot tulips in deep burgundy, ivory peonies, and ranunculus and hand-painted hellebores - all entirely edible!
