Deirdre and Alan | BASH Wedding

Last May, the uber-cool BASH Magazine had a competition on for winning a €30k wedding, got an amazing crew of suppliers together and left it to the public to vote between four couples. I'm so happy that Dee and Alan won, you really couldn't have wished for a sweeter, more deserving couple!

Dee and Alan met 8 years ago in Helsinki, Finland and that is where Alan proposed to Dee a couple of years ago as well. After winning the competition, they only had four months to plan everything! It was a definite whirlwind, but their day turned out amazing! Dee is a home economics teacher and seriously talented baker, you may know of her work as she's since started her own cake companyDee and her mom hand sewn eighty linen napkins and baked cookies which they gave away as favours.

Deirdre and Alan love to travel and France is special to them (they even went to Paris for a few days on their honeymoon) so they wanted to incorporate lavender, soft greys, and neutral linens throughout their design. Alan and Dee also potted all the herbs which we used as their table plan. I love that even though we only had four months to plan everything for them that they still personalised the day as much as they could and made it their own. It was so great teaming up with such like-minded suppliers for their day and making Dee and Alan's dream bash come true. x
